New Monitor - Samsung SA300 23" LED

Very thin and light -- weighs 6.5 lbs.  It has a 12V adapter so it uses very little electricity.   There are no mechanical buttons for adjustment.  You adjust it by pressing underneath the bottom right where there are pressure sensors.

The brightness, contrast and sharpness (whatever that is) adjustments didn't seem to help a washed out appearance and I was unhappy until I started fooling around with the "MagicAngle" adjustment.  The stand has no tilt or vertical adjustment.  The MagicAngle orients the display.  It has several settings and the one that works for me is the "standing" angle, even though it is directly at eye level.

On the Samsung web site they  state there are also MagicBright3 and MagicColor features, but I'm not sure what they are.  Of course there's the by-now standard PDF user's guide on a CD, which I haven't looked at yet.   Real men don't read manuals  :)

I'm reasonably satisfied.  Cost:   $180 at MicroCenter.

I just bought one of these without having read any reviews beforehand, so I was surprised that the stand and mounting configuration seems to angle the monitor downward.  I agree that the angle that works best is "standing" even though the monitor is at eye level -- and even so, I have propped up the base of the stand with a book to further tilt the monitor up.  It seems otherwise like a very nice monitor, but people should be aware of the stand/angle issue before considering purchasing it.
