The question that I wonder is what is driving the meltdown. Is it the Feds, Wall Street or something else. Wall Street makes money no matter what - it goes up, down, whatever they make money.

If some of them get really cheap I may buy some as throw away money. You never know. I have missed the boat a bunch of times over the years - Microsoft, Cisco, Ebay, Amazon and of course Apple.

It could be a naked ploy to boost stock values.

What I got out of the press releases is that Kodak sees a role in digital rights management for photos using blockchain techniques.

I need to learn this stuff so I can cash in.  :P

Me too. This is the next dot com, I am 100% sure at this point. Wall Street is way too excited about it for it to be a momentary thing.

Remember that Google employee named Damore that was fired at Google awhile back because they didn't like the things he said. Well now he is suing them. You should read the stuff that is in his suit. Google really is an echo chamber.

Its dot com v2.0 all over again. As I said before this is a total bubble. See below for some quotes.

" It quite literally takes less than 24hrs to do so for someone with mediocre tech skills. The only difficult part is convincing suckers, err sorry, I mean lovely people, that the coin you created is worth something. This simple fact has led thousands of scam artists throughout the world to create their own coins and sell them to unsuspecting retirees and “I wanna get rich quick” targets."

"While creating a cancer pill, even with step-by-step instructions, would require some materials, equipment and incur some costs, the production of a random generic e-coin costs pretty damn close to $0. All you need is a website and some hype."

I think a lot of people are crazy because they listen to the lies spewed by the MSM.  Did you ever watch some of the Weather Channel coverage of storms lately?  You would swear the world was going to end today because its cold outside.  Every storm or cold snap is now Armageddon.  The cold temperatures are actually part of global warming, according to that weather guru, Al Gore.

NJ is full of liberal nuts and they're a bunch of babies.  They live in an alternate universe, IMO.  I'm glad my part of NJ is more like PA than North Jersey.  This is farm country.  People hunt here.  They grow their own food.  Everyone has a gun.  I've seen a couple of flip-flop wearers on occasion here.  They're usually heading for the Starbucks. Not only do they not know how to dress in winter, they can't make their own damn coffee.

Agreed about the PRNJ - People's Republic of NJ. Where we bought our new house is more rural and is as you describe.

We got about 4-5 inches here in central NJ. I dont know what all the hysteria is about.

Though I did see a hipster in skinny jeans and flip flops at the Dunks on yesterday morning while it was snowing. I snickered and he called me an asshole. I said I might be an asshole but I am not stupid wearing flip flops when its 8 degrees.

I agree with your snicker but...

To me that's pretty intense for a random encounter with a stranger in a public place. I thought people in my area were becoming dicks. I have yet to be called an asshole by someone I don't know in public.  ???

Anywho, 4-5 inches will mildly paralyze my area if it comes down in one storm. It will take about a day of digging for schools and some businesses to re-open for normal hours. It's handle-able, just an strong inconvenience.

People are getting nastier and nastier. It was already pretty bad when Obama was in office but since Trump the liberal crowd has been off their meds. This is not the first time I have had encounters here like this, there is just no civility any longer.

While the election was happening people were unhinged. I had a woman scream at me in public that Bernie is not a communist after me and my friend were standing there making fun of Bernie and calling him a communist. It was a private conversation. I also saw a guy flip out and start yelling that Hillary is not a criminal to someone in the super market.

A couple of weeks ago I had a gay guy in the gym call me a dick because I told him that he should not be pouring water onto a censor that controls the temperature in the sauna. I  used to see people doing this when the sensor was by the door - they would put wet towels on it to try to make it hotter. So the gym moved it and put a metal cover with bolts on it. So he was pouring water through the slot on to the sensor. I said there is 120V in there and it controls the gas that heats the rocks. First he called me a dick and all I said is its not safe, you could be electrocuted and cause a fire. Than he said I should mind my business and he got really nasty. So I walked out and went and found the manager.

But yes people are nuts.

As for the paralyzing with the snow, in NJ people flip out now with the snow. Not just a little upset - I mean like it was an apocalypse.  I attribute it to people being soft and weak today. They have no idea what hardship is so any little thing happens and they can't cope. They aren't prepared for anything - definitely not the weather and nothing else for that matter. They don't know how to use tools or do what needs to get done, all they know how to do is sit behind a computer.

When I was a kid when it snowed regardless of how cold it was we would be out in it all day till my mother dragged us in. Of course we were prepared for it, we had proper clothing - that means ski coat/pants, boots, gloves, hat. Today I see people that don't even own a hat or a pair of water resistant gloves. When the guy called me an asshole I was dressed for winter - ski coat, gloves, hat, scarf and hiking boots. Meanwhile this tard is in skinny jeans and flip flops and shirt. Come on.

My own theory is that when the apocalypse comes that a large % of the population is going to eat it hard. They just aren't going to make it.

Windows 10 interface is shit. It looks like something from X Windows circa 1990 with the stupid stick figure icons and stuff buried where you can't find it.

The last time I was in DC I was surprised at all the office buildings with giant corporate names on the outside - ie. IBM, Oracle, etc.... I mean really giant names on the top of the building so everyone can see it for miles.

The place really is a trough for the pigs. Everyone wonders why the deficit is out of control.
