First hit from Google on the phrase "OPT extension":

http://www.utdallas.edu/student/international/current/optextension.html

Translation, we are only hiring cheap non citizens.

Why nor ask your elected representative?  Or your local EEO office?

What this is, is blatant discrimination on the basis of national origin.  And the perps should have a vacation at Club Fed.

I get the impression that most elected representatives would consider this to be a "Don't Mention The War" kinda deal.  That's the way things have been here since 2002 when I last gainfully employed as a MVS/COBOL/CICS/DB2 programmer.  It's only a ingrained respect for future hellfire that prevents me from elucidating what I really feel about off-shoring.  >:(

Excuse me while I go out to the garage and work on the ol' speedball.

"Fresh" developers?  What, as opposed to 'Experienced"?  How do they tell if they're "fresh" ?  Let 'em chat up the hot blonde receptionist and see if they get their face slapped ?

Man, that's blatant. It just about says "F*ck you if you're a US citizen."

I especially liked the part that says

"If you do not have experience or exposure on adobe flex or web 2.0 technologies we will provide training to you and place you at client site, as we have worked directly with them."

What ever happened to "we have to hire foreigners because only they have the skills we need"

(BTW IBM cut another 1,500 US employees last week. But don't worry, it only represents a "sliver" of there 400,000 workforce.  http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100302/ap_on_hi_te/us_ibm_layoffs )

How is this even legal?

They're not even looking for Americans? Plus I thought the sponorship for 2010 was already filled up?

Plus what a kick in the nuts:
Quote
... we will provide training to you and place you at client site...
Accommodation and Food will be provided

When's the last time someone told you that? Like so far back that you can't remember or never?

How do you compete against that? An equally qualified American wouldn't even get an offer like that.
