One of the interesting natural phenomenon is the "rogue wave". Out in the ocean, waves are generally coming from multiple directions. Most of the time, one direction and size of wave dominates. However, ever so often, waves meet up in such a way to generate a sudden huge wave.
What happens when we have all these people trading is that sometimes, suddenly, they all go in the same direction. It is a rare event. But, it appears that such a thing happened recently. There does not seem to be any way to predict or control such behavior. I postulate that we may just need to let the people doing the trades get hurt by that so that they can learn.
