Interest Rates drive stock prices

He is correct because interest rates drive the stock markets. However, that does not mean that the country is/will be wealthy. It does not mean that we won't deflate the meaning of those stock prices through inflation. It does not mean that we won't do our best to destroy anyone who has wealth.
