But, this recorder is great (for line-in recording; the built-in condensor mic is crap).
I do like my 6GB, but after 2+ years and hundreds of hours of recording, I think the battery is on the fritz. Unfortunately, the older version does not have removeable rechargeable batteries (like the 20GB model does). So, I will end up replacing the whole thing.

Wrong! I had thought my older version had a built-in battery pack, like many of them. Turns out, mine DOES have removeable batteries. It had acted like it might be the batteries, but I had assumed (!) the previous ... and missed a very good recording today!
You might have just saved me $250. Thanks!
