Dr. James Levine, at the Mayo Clinic, is promoting the idea of walking on a treadmill while operating your workstation. He alleges that you'll burn 100 calories per hour, walking at 1 mph. Do that 8 hours a day, every working day, and
you'll drop 50 pounds in a year (all other things being equal, of course).

I'm stuck in my current campaign to drop weight, and its hard for me to work in exercise, particularly since there is no shower at my otherwise-splendid office. I have the treadmill already, at home; the amateur version might be easy enough for ultra-unhandy me.
