Happy New Year, one and all
« on: December 31, 2011, 06:45:07 pm »
By now, 6:30 PM Eastern, it's already 2012 in places like Guam, Vladivostok, Tokyo, and Sydney.   The Japs are probably already sleeping it off, while the Aussies are just getting started.

I’ll watch a few re-runs and turn in at my usual bed time.  I’m pretty sure it will be tomorrow without my watching.

Really.  Wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!   ;D

I agree, I haven't been able to stay awake long enough to ring in the new year for about a decade now.  Watch some tv, go to bed, wake up to another day.  I don't really see what's so special about it, other than an excuse to party.  And for those people, I say party on!

Happy new one to all here.  Let's hope 2012 is better for all of us and that we see some positive changes in this country.

My son and his girl friend came over and my wife and I and them watched Shaolin Soccer.   Pretty funny movie:

Happy New Year!

This year I hooked up with some friends and took a dip in Lake Michigan at midnight! While I only 'danced around' and got moderately wet, a few dove in and were totally soaked. Thankfully it was a 'warm' night, considering the time of year with wind chills only in the 20's.

I spent New Years Eve Day installing my mother's new PC (got a great deal on an off-lease Lenovo from TigerDirect for under $200).   We enjoyed the last of the Christmas cookies and I was home before all the amateur drunks hit the road. (and before the Garden State Parkway raised their tolls)

Happy New Year to one and all.
