But I just heard that the largest oil field in Iraq, the Ramadi Field that is 15,000,000,000 barrels, will be developed by ....

China.

I was griping all along that if we were dumb enough to invade Iraq, but had a Prez and VP that were from oil industry backgrounds, that we should make sure that oil pays for the war.  1 trillion dollars later......

How can we get rid of 1 trillion dollars?  I know, lets start some humanitarian war, because after all we aren't there because there is oil.   Nooo, we are there because of 9/11.  Get it?  Got it?  Good!

Our economic problems are something that our leaders have done to ourselves - mfg. to China.  But the people are easily strung along.  Obama will save us from Bush!  Palin will save us from Obama!  Usually, it's not too late to change course, but I'd say we are probably past that point to where a reverse-course would make a big enough difference to fix it anytime soon.

Not bad, one problem though.  If you wanted someone to get the oil out of an "East Texas" would you want someone who has made more money/progress in the oil industry from where they started, or would you want someone who dabbled in it, but was able to use political leverage as a crutch when they weren't particularly successful themselves at expanding their own oil enterprises?
