This guy doesn't like the Tivoli Model 1 but we got one for my father in law and he loves it. Tivoli is a design leader.

Oh. Well, he does need to get off his ass once in a while and do something, so for him that's good if he has to get up and adjust the tuning constantly. :lol

I was really impressed with the vernier tuning mechanism that gears down the tuning knob. Very cool and very retro.

I was impressed that Target (of all places) sold the thing.

I got one for myself and I love it. It's probably the nearest thing I've got to a design classic (like Tivoli I count engineering high in that assessment) and one of the very few purchases that I've never had a second thought about after buying.
