"My Life Is Good" - hilarious parody of the arrogant
« on: December 13, 2011, 09:38:24 am »
Nobody does scathing social commentary like Randy Newman.

He was the first songwriter to use the device of the "untrustworthy narrator" in his songs, where the main character is actually the butt of the joke, the fool who doesn't realize he's a fool.

Have a listen to a song about a certain type of arrogant individual all too prevalent in places of power like Hollywood or Wall Street.

It starts a little slow, and then takes off on a wild ride.
