WFH contract ended
« on: October 30, 2011, 10:00:40 am »
It was WFH and lasted for 3 months.

I asked about it on the forum before accepting it  and the replies I got were right on the money. It was pretty much work around the clock including very odd hours, doing software deployments at 3AM. There was overtime involved but all in all it was crazy.  The last note I got was, you are supposed to have all overtime approved by initiating a conference call and explaining why there is overtime.

What a mess. 3 months at 60/hour.

The hotel gig I had right before that also lasted for 3 months / 60 hour, also with a difficult client. Visiting that client was like swimming in the acid bath.

3 month gigs - that's obviously the 2011 standard.

I am back with dot-gov now.

Hmmm....  Using your African wildlife analogy from a different thread, I wonder what type of animal you think you might be?  Perhaps a Gazelle because you can be chased but so far haven't been caught.  ;D  In other words, you seem to be able to have little difficulty in finding new work when you have to do so.

No, I am a turtle in a shell no animal can crack.

The most logical explanation I am in DC area which is the least objectionable market in the whole country. I don't think I would do so well in Silly Valley or elsewhere.
