Is there a reason why you posted this link without an explanation as to why?  This program has been around for awhile.  My guess is that sales have probably dropped off in recent years.

Side Topic: I Am Man Enough To Share My Bad Ideas

About 11 years ago, I thought of working on a side project in this area but quickly dismissed it because I didn't think there were enough staffing firms out there that would buy it.  Also, after thinking about my idea for a couple of hours, I was able to come up with several other reasons why it wouldn't be worth pursuing.

My idea was to create a desktop application that generated say 20 technical tests for a specific technology or programming language.  The staffing firm could print out a specific test or click a button and a test would be randomly selected for them.  Once the test popped up on the screen they would print the test and the answers for that particular test.  I also thought about having an option where the staffing firm could choose to have simple software specs printed out.  This would allow the firm to give a candidate a choice between taking a written test or writing a program that could be completed in a hour or two at the most.

Anyway, the selling point of my application would have been the following:
* Much cheaper to buy my app than pay a re-occurring online test taking fee.
* The ability to give candidates a choice between taking a test or writing some code.

1) Resume processing is a bulk job for recruiters. They take in and extract information from many, many resumes.

2) Using a standardized format for a resume is probably absolutely critical because programs wind up parsing most resumes. Untouched by human hands, as it were.

Bottom line: our resume information is a commodity.

So, can someone tell me, how is the stuff that is scanned by this program a form of copywriting?

I think any attempt at marketing  that at some point has a resume going through Resume Grabber has a low -- not exactly zero, but close --  chance of succeeding.

So I think one can safely forget about keywords and satisfying Resume Grabber.  The resume should probably be kept to a one-page interesting statement of capabilities that points to a web site that makes a compelling case for talking to you in person.

Edit:   I have to admit, I really don't know if you have to care about keywords or not.  If you go to a company website they usually give you an email address or form for submitting a resume, so I guess resumes are still used.

If keywords really do matter, then whatever the target technology is has to be mentioned.  I suppose you have to do a pilot project that is potentially useful for somebody and uses the desired technology.  Amazon ECC Web Service machine images may be useful here, or Google App Inventor (if Android is the market) -- whatever is the simplest way to do something.
