Professional Attire for the Guys
« on: May 18, 2010, 04:14:21 am »
When meeting with clients, I still go in with a business suit on.  I'm not talking about body shop work where you wear the prison uniform of the employer's choice (jeans, business casual, suit, whatever).  Just curious how you all roll, the suit works for me...

At some point, I stopped wearing suits, unless I knew in advance that it would be appropriate. Instead, for first meetings, I wear a dark blue blazer, Light blue button down shirt, red and blue striped tie, tan Docker slacks (straight -  pleats look lousy on me), cordovan penny loafers and leather dark brown belt. Politics aside, think George Will. My attire has never (at least as far as I know) been a detriment to the hiring process.

Just me. Others may disagree.
