Interesting job ad
« on: June 15, 2007, 02:28:16 pm »
Got a note referring me to this job posting today

www.thinkenergygroup.com/...nt&frm=G01

What I found interesting is that they include what appears to be a reasonable description of the job, the general location and the min and max rate they expect to pay

But they include a link where you can send feedback on the rate. - 10% too low, 20% too low ... 200% too low.  I've never seen this before.

Perhaps they want to be able to go the client and say "We couldn't find anyone willing to do the job for what you are offering, but found 6 people who might be interested if you were willing  to pay 15% more"

They can't spell, though:

"Once we have recieved [sic] your first email,..."

I guess it's as much of a crap shoot for the recruiters as it is for contractors. It would be frustrating if you post the ad and don't see any responses because the rate is wrong. This provides  means for them to get the feedback. Sounds like a good idea to me.
