My mother was a big fan of New Yorker cartoons.  Her favorite from the 50's was a woman getting ready to "spank" the ketchup over a plate of food.  In the background is a child greeting a minister at the door.  The caption:  "Yes Mother is here.  She's in the kitchen hitting the bottle."  :laugh:

That migrant worker cartoon was kind of like a scene from the remake of "Fun with Dick and Jane".   That's pretty much the future....
