There's a lot of routine stuff that I don't need to see every time (about 2/3 of the screen) at the top of each screen.

I 'spose that's something for you to do in your "spare" time.

No, I was kidding. Look to the right of the title  "ComputerConsultantsForum.com Discussion Board". See the upward pointing arrow? Click it. It will collapse the top header area.

That setting persists across browser sessions. You can come back here a day later and it will stay collapsed.
