Over on LinkedIn, I find several "groups" that are fronting other message boards. In effect, the group on LinkedIn is a way to drive traffic to another message board. I have received invitations to join other boards based on my participation on a LinkedIn group. Perhaps doing something similar would help this board.

Maybe ...

I am a member of a group which is associated with a wiki and a Yahoo group.  All essentially the same folks.  But the LI group is about networking, and the Y! group is about discussions.

So, yeah, let's kick it around a bit.

We could form a group and link to this board.  Or we could join appropriate groups and link to this board.  I found RealRates from a link posted on CEWeekly.

Do we want more people and if so, what kind? (older, younger, experts, entrepreneurs, etc)
More traffic?
Open some new sections that might be of greater interest?

I'm just wondering that in the end, what is it that we want to accomplish?

Seriously, any group of people that is not actively bringing in new people will die out. Yes, that means that we will have to put up with people who don't fit in correctly. However, if we don't get new people, the steady dropping out of others will leave the board depleted.
